Hitchin based estate and letting agency M A S O N S has strengthened its lettings and property management team with the appointment of experienced property professional Nicola McGarry.
Nicola joins the independent agency as it continues to grow its presence across Hitchin and the surrounding areas, bringing with her a wealth of experience in residential lettings and property management.
Her appointment forms part of a restructure of the lettings and management side of the business, designed to give the team greater capacity while maintaining the personal and responsive service M A S O N S has built its reputation on.
Nicola will work closely alongside Connor, supporting new landlords, new instructions, viewings, move ins and property inspections, while director Luke Mason will work more closely with property manager Trupti on the existing managed portfolio, as well as focusing further on the sales and estate agency side of the business.
Luke said: “I’ve known Nicola professionally for many years, so it feels very natural to have her joining us.
“When we first worked together, Nicola was managing a portfolio for Rushbrook & Rathbone and would regularly instruct me to find tenants for their properties. She later worked alongside Trupti at Charter Whyman, so there are already really strong working relationships within the team.
“We’ve grown considerably over the last few years and the priority for me has always been making sure that growth doesn’t come at the expense of the service we provide.
“Bringing Nicola into the business gives us more experience, more capacity and better cover across the portfolio. It also means there is more than one person who really knows each property, landlord and tenancy, rather than everything sitting with one individual.
“It puts us in a really strong position for the next stage of growth while still keeping the business personal, which is incredibly important to me.”

According to Rightmove data, the agency is currently third in Hitchin for lettings market share based on new instructions and available stock, reflecting its continued growth within the local rental market.
